It is hard to believe how much can change in such a short time. Sheltering in place began in 2020 around this time of year. Now, just three years later, we are seeing how different it is to live out our convictions in the public square, to live out our faith.

I sat down with John Amanchukwu and we discussed the need for boldness today, the reality that having it “easy” should not be our aim, and the vital necessity of speaking the truth in love. Please listen in—you will be encouraged!

PRAYER NOTES

This week I want to remind us all of a prayer shared by Hank Kunneman on last Tuesday’s broadcast. We had been discussing what God is doing with the movie Jesus Revolution. We join our faith together, believing that the prophesied “revolution of light” will ignite across our nation, awaken the Body of Christ, and revive our hearts.

Prayer of agreement:

“Heavenly Father, we honor You. We thank You that, as Jesus said, we are the ‘light of the world’—a light that is not to be hidden nor put under a bushel, but a light that is to shine in every generation. God, You are once again shining bright through the media, through entertainment and through the movies. This is all part of what You declared:  revolution of light. It’s part of an awakening.

“We pray that this movie will touch the hearts of Your people first. We pray that there will be something imparted—a boldness, a desire to get out and let our light shine, to win souls, and to glorify You, the Almighty God. May this be like a net that spreads out across Hollywood, across this nation and the nations of the earth; and that many would be saved as a result.

“God, a song in the movie says, ‘We are one in the Spirit, we are one in the Lord.’ We pray that there will come a unity to not only this nation, but also to the Body of Christ. We pray that this awakening will cause a great revival and a great reform that will bring this country back to You in a way that we’ve never known before. Lord do it again, we pray. Awaken us afresh. Revive our hearts. And Jesus Christ, be glorified. May souls be saved and Your kingdom, O God, come in such a glorious way, we pray. Amen.”
