In response to yesterday’s events in Nashville, I want to invite you to pray in agreement with us:
Heavenly Father, we boldly approach Your throne of grace today in the Name of Jesus to obtain mercy and grace to help in our time of need (Hebrews 4:16). We stand together and boldly declare that we desperately need You in our nation, in our lives, and in the lives of our children and grandchildren. We thank You, Lord, that You go before us, You’re with us, and You never leave us nor forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:8). You’re always ready to help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1).
We petition You today on behalf of the Covenant School victims’ families, loved ones and first responders, and we ask for Your help. May they feel Your comforting presence. We pray for Your unfailing love to surround and fill them (Psalm 33:22). Please strengthen, help and uphold them (Isaiah 41:10). May they be strong in You and in Your mighty power during this difficult time. We put a hedge of protection around their thoughts, and pray for them to turn toward You and not away from You. As they call on You in truth, we thank You, Lord, that You will be near to them, and they will hear Your answer (Psalm 145:18, Jeremiah 33:3). Thank You for supplying all their needs during this time from Your glorious riches in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). In the Name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
You can also spend time praying in the Holy Spirit, as the Spirit Himself intercedes for us when we don’t know what to pray (Romans 8:26).
