No matter our politics, it is critical that we pray for our leaders to first come to the knowledge of the Lord, and that they be in good health. 

I was also very happy to share with you all my interview with Senator Josh Hawley about his new book, Manhood: The Masculine Virtues America Needs. See why he says we need stronger men in America, and how we can help boys see what it means to be a man today.

Heavenly Father, we approach You today in the spirit of faith, obeying the precepts of Your Word. You instruct us to pray for our leaders; therefore we lift them up to You. We pray for President Biden’s health after his recent fall and pray that He feels Your loving care and healing power in his spirit, mind and body. Give him wisdom, Lord, and turn his heart toward You. Open his eyes and help him to see and take action that lines up with Your will. Yes, Lord, may Your will be done!

We also pray for the leaders of the organizations that influence our nation—from governmental entities like the Department of Homeland Security to corporations; help the owners, boards and committees see that their choices impact America and its citizens, so many who hold to Christian values. We pray that these leaders be drawn to You, and where needed, repent and change their ways, courageously doing what’s right in Your eyes!

Strengthen Your people, Lord. Give the Body of Christ the boldness we need to step into offices where we can make a difference. Bring wise, tenderhearted people who seek You and Your ways into positions of power. Help Your people bring the United States of America back on the road that’s straight and narrow! In Jesus’ Name. Amen!
