Today we pray that godly men and women in all levels of government and influence have the strength, courage, favor and protection that comes from You.

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father, today we take time to pray for our brothers and sisters fighting for our country from the trenches. We pray for our godly congressmen and women, our local school board officials, our city government workers and others who are battling day by day to shine light in the darkness. Give us strength. Give us courage. And help us to put our trust in You and You alone—for You make our paths straight.

Lord, we thank You that You BLESS the righteous. When tough times arise, you defend Your people! Surround us with favor like a shield. Protect us, Lord. Be our refuge and strength, our very present help in trouble.

In faith, we proclaim Psalm 89 over these people and over the FlashPoint Army today:

Powerful is your arm! Strong is your hand!

    Your right hand is lifted high in glorious strength.
Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne.
    Unfailing love and truth walk before you as attendants.
 Happy are those who hear the joyful call to worship,
    for they will walk in the light of your presence, LORD.
They rejoice all day long in your wonderful reputation.
    They exult in your righteousness.
You are their glorious strength. It pleases you to make us strong.
Yes, our protection comes from the LORD… (v.13-18)
