Prayer:
Heavenly Father, 1 Timothy 2:1-2 states, “I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity.” Today as the FlashPoint Army, we obey this word, seeking Your guidance, Your wisdom and Your divine interaction with those who serve in our government. We thank You, Lord, for those willing to serve their nation daily.
Many times our government operates as designed, and we give You thanks for the republic you’ve set in place. For those times when challenges arise, we pray that our leaders would seek righteousness. Let Your ways be at the core of every decision they make, every bill they vote on, every action they take. For those who are seeking their own ambitions, who don’t keep integrity at the forefront of their decision-making, we pray they would be replaced in due time, through the processes set in place, by those who put You and Your Word FIRST.
Give our leaders wisdom, Lord, on both sides of the aisle. We pray they would ask You for wisdom daily, and on their behalf, we ask for wisdom now. This is Your country, Lord, created in covenant with You. We pray above all that Your will is done. Give us the wisdom to see exactly what Your will is in all situations. Give us a hunger for Your Word. We put our government in Your hands, Lord. In Jesus’ mighty Name. Amen!
