Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we come to You today, thanking you for the REST that is in Christ Jesus. We take our stand in that rest, blessed that in every battle we face, You are with us every step of the way. No matter what news we hear about politics, weather or culture wars, we stand on this truth: When we are heavy laden, You will give us rest—for Your yoke is easy and Your burden is light.
As the Body of Christ, we stand still before You today, unified, and not anxious about anything. We lift our requests to You for our nation, placing them in Your hands. And Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guards our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Thank You, Holy Spirit, for being our Comforter; and Lord, for being our Shepherd. You lead us in peace, and we lean into You with everything we are.
In addition to receiving Your divine rest, we also take hold of the strength only You can provide. In it, we can do all things! As our strength is renewed, we will not faint. We will not give up. We will stand firm in the faith, and with courage we will speak the Truth. We are not frightened of what the world may do, but rather we are certain of what You will do. You have Your hand on the FlashPoint Army, giving us the boldness we need to stand and to proclaim the Truth without hindrance. We are Your people, Lord. Let the light You have placed inside Your people shine!
