This week, we pray in agreement that we will approach news and current events in the spirit of faith, not fear!
Prayer
Heavenly Father, the news media would have us think that when it comes to our nation, the elections, Israel, world news and more, there is no hope. But I don’t believe that. You are my hope and no matter what happens in this world, nothing can separate me from Your love!
The spirit of fear hasn’t come from You. No, You’ve given me a spirit of power, love and a sound mind. Therefore, as a member of the FlashPoint Army, I refuse to give into fear. When I hear news stories that induce anxiety or worry, I will cast my cares on You and stand in faith.
With faith, the impossible can happen. Mountains can move. Circumstances can change. Lives can be turned around. So in faith, I seek You first, with a mind renewed in Your Word. I cast down imaginations and declare that “Jesus is Lord” over any newsworthy situation. You have a plan and a purpose for us, and I trust that You will work all things together for good, for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose.
I am strong and courageous. I will not be afraid, for You are my God, and You are with me everywhere I go. I will be a voice that speaks Your Word of faith, praying for wisdom for our nation’s leaders, praying for protection for those involved in war, and praying for Your divine intervention. Nothing is impossible with You! In Jesus’ mighty Name. Amen!
