One of the most disturbing and divisive trends in culture today is the radical anti-law-enforcement agenda. These men and women who choose, every day, to risk their own lives in service to their communities, are due so much better.

This is not to say that there are not problems; there are problems in EVERY industry, and law enforcement is no different. But that does not change the fact that this is a critical industry that warrants our support and respect.

I sat down with retired police Sgt. Betsy Brantner Smith in December and she shared information about our law enforcement community that you NEED TO KNOW. While “Defund the Police” is the progressive mantra, grassroots organizations also exist to empower us with news, information and resources so we can honor and support those who endeavor to protect us. 

Topics to pray over:

• That hardships would be relieved as Americans stand in faith, in this time of God’s favor
• That as media propagates, truth is separated from fiction—and that the Body of Christ responds in faith.

Prayer of agreement:
Father God, it’s easy to see the giants standing against us as Americans. Inflation’s been on the rise and debt has been tightening. But in the midst of the trials and tribulations our nation faces, we see that You are still moving! We choose to stand in faith today believing Your Word above all else. We look up, for we know help is on the way! We draw near to You, our Comforter, our Healer and our God. As we do, we feel You drawing near to us, preparing a great awakening like we’ve never experienced before.

Father, relieve the hardships people face. The time of Your favor is NOW! We proclaim that, according to Your Word and by the power of Your Spirit, the captives are released, the blind see, and the oppressed find freedom today!

We know the enemy would love nothing more than to have our nation, especially the Body of Christ, caught up in confusion—but You are the God of peace. As misleading stories, propaganda and hard agendas hit from all sides, we pray that Your people—the FlashPoint Army—are led by FAITH, not fear. Holy Spirit, guide us into the Truth. Help us to not be led astray by anything contrary to Your Word. Lord, we trust in You with all our hearts and don’t depend on our own understanding. We seek Your will in all we hear, see and do—and we rest knowing that You will always show us clear direction. In Jesus’ Name. Amen!

1. When you see an officer out in public, smile and wave; show them you appreciate them.
2. Send thank-you cards to your local police departments.
3. Engage in discourse about what is happening to law enforcement.
4. Get educated about what is happening. Visit nationalpolice.org as a great place to start.
5. Pray. Pray. Pray.
