There is so much to talk about this week on FlashPoint, I can’t wait to get started! Tonight I’ll be joined by Lance Wallnau, Hank Kunneman, Rick Green, Kevin Freeman and Floyd Brown. We’ll kick off the night  with a roundtable about upcoming Texas bills SB2334 and HB4903, gold and the all-important topic of national spending, etc.

I look forward to speaking with Floyd Brown, founder of the Western Journal, about his new book Counterpunch, which asks the question: is it possible for renewal to come through peace rather than power? 

Also up for discussion will be:

• The increasing violence and recent Chicago riots
• Updates from Capitol Hill with the return of Fetterman
• The 4th Democrat in West Virginia to switch parties in 2 months
• Jim Jordan and Comer updates on Biden.

There are serious issues at hand in our nation and the world, so it is more important than ever to be prayed up! While we talk, week in and week out, about issues that seem increasingly perilous, we must remember where our hope comes from. Our hope comes from a Person, and that person is Jesus! 

I encourage you to download and pray over our prayer points each week.  These brief touchstones take the topics that we discuss on the program and look through the lens of faith, praying God’s will over them. If one can put a thousand to flight and two can put 10,000 to flight, just imagine what we can do in the spirit when the whole FlashPoint Army comes together in prayer!

PRAYER POINTS

Topics to pray over:

• That the American Church continues to wake up to revival and the spreading of the gospel to the world today
• That the people of Louisville will be comforted in this time of need.

Prayer of agreement:

Heavenly Father, You’ve been stirring something mighty in the American Church today: revival! We pray for Your continued work among Your people, that the gospel will be spread boldly and without hindrance. We pray that the Church stands out in modern culture—offering solutions the world can’t produce: true love, peace, righteousness and eternal joy. Let Your face shine, that America may be saved!

And, Lord, in regard to the recent shooting in Louisville, we agree with the prayer Dutch Sheets prayed last Tuesday night:

“Father, we bring the city of Louisville and the family members and friends to You. You are a very present help in time of trouble. Holy Spirit, You call Yourself a comforter; it’s one of the things You love to do. We ask for Your comfort even in this time of grief, Lord. We ask for You to do what only You can do, working things together for good. We ask You to bring even salvation from this somehow. Lord, take that which is so evil and work Your good into it in whatever way and in every way You can. We speak comfort, we speak grace, we speak Your healing virtue to the emotions. We break the spirit of fear and trauma that would try to embed itself into hearts and emotions there. Just go to that city with a great wave of Your power, Your love, even revival. Turn the tables on the enemy, Lord. Turn the tables on him—on this wicked, wicked action of the enemy. And we ask for this in Jesus’ Name. Amen!”
