“For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them.”
— Matthew 18:20
Topic to pray over:
On last Monday’s FlashPoint, we talked about how news is flooding in right now and it’s easy for many people to feel afraid. Today we pray for believers to stand in faith, not fear…for God is with us!
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, it’s been such a busy time in the news! We know that breaking stories, protests across the nation, and political positioning can easily stir up fear and division. So now, for the FlashPoint Army and the Body of Christ, we ask for Your peace. Give us that peace that exceeds anything we can understand. May it guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. We won’t worry about anything, Lord, but we’ll pray about everything, telling You what we need—and thanking You for all You have done.
Our first request is that Your perfect love, which casts out all fear, will fill our nation and its people, empowering us to face the future with confidence and HOPE. We pray for unity and peace throughout our great country. As peacemakers, help us to do what is good. We will seek You, live justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with You. Even when we encounter different opinions and beliefs, we will respond in love, which is patient and kind, not puffed up, does not behave rudely or get provoked, and thinks no evil of others.
Father, guide our thoughts and actions. Help us focus on what is true, noble, just, pure, lovely, of good report, virtuous and praiseworthy. Strengthen us to be light in the darkness, that city on a hill. Let our light so shine before others that they see our good works and glorify You. Amen!
May Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Unite us, Father, as one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Hallelujah!
